Mission Statement

Dinner Party Ensemble is committed to sounding the mundane. Using combs, plates, computers, code, and sometimes our own shoes, we play and create works reverberating with actions based in the everyday.  

Dinner Party Ensemble is also committed to providing food for those in need. Each season we commit a portion of our ensemble profit towards a local organization that provides food. This season we are supporting the JFCS Squirrel Hill Food Pantry.

History and Formation

Dinner Party Ensemble was formed as an excuse to have a rotating dinner party before each rehearsal, but after one successful dinner party they decided to just have regular rehearsals. Dinner Party Ensemble is Cullyn Murphy, Mark Micchelli, and Laura Schwartz (All of whom play objects, speak, act, dance, sing, and sometimes are percussionists.)
